We thought it was time for another visual update on the restoration of the (D Series) 1954 Bentley R Type Continental Fastback by H.J.Mulliner which we are currently carrying out. The rolling chassis is now all but complete, with the refit of the now overhauled and cosmetically restored engine and gearbox taking place this week, along with the fitting of the restored fuel tank.
Just a few items remain before we can reunite the chassis with the restored body, now finished in Circassian or navy blue. Image one shows another R Type Continental currently in our workshop in its complete form, next to the rolling chassis we are just finishing off.
