Chassis No GLB25 was originally completed in March of 1934 as a Park Ward bodied limousine and was supplied to Mr F.G.T. Dawson of Hamble in Hants. During the 1950s (exact date unknown) the car was sent to Vincents of Reading and rebodied as an Estate Car. The car was purchased by Mr K. Treherne-Thomas in March 1951 who retained it until December of 1968 when he sold it to John Vincent Labordegodef. Four years later it was purchased by George Ronald Saxby and in May of 1981 it was acquired by Keith Ronald Jamieson. Chassis No GLB25 left the UK for the first time in November of 1992 when purchased by Mr Herbert Kammacher of Switzerland. Works during his ownership included a re-wire (1992) body woodwork restoration (1993) coachwork restoration and painting (1995) a new exhaust (1996) and a new fuel tank (1998) Regular general servicing and maintenance were also carried out during Mr Kammacher’s ownership. The car was purchased by the present owner in 2006 and during his ownership Milford Engineering have been responsible for the general maintenance of the car. The owner has also had some major works carried out, with major mechanical works including an engine overhaul carried out by Fiennes between 2011 and 2012 and in 2022 the coachwork was restored and repainted by Jansen in Holland. Upon arrival to our facility the car was evaluated by our workshop team and then prepared for sale, works that were recently completed. This charming car drives beautifully and understandably gets a great deal of positive attention from fellow motorists and passers by when out on the road. It is complete with an extensive file and is ready for its next fortunate owner’s enjoyment.

Production of the Rolls-Royce 20HP ceased in 1929, making way for the all-new 20/25 which was produced until 1936. The new 20/25 retained the 6-cylinder single carburettor, overhead valve engine which had been issued to its predecessor, but it was upgraded to 3699cc producing better acceleration and a higher top speed. The four speed manual gearbox with right hand lever change was also improved with the fitment of synchromesh to third and fourth gear from 1932 onwards. The 20/25 was produced by Rolls-Royce in tandem with production of the Phantom II, giving buyers a multitude of options.

As small HP Rolls-Royces go, few are more interesting or more fun that Chassis No GLB25. It has been beautifully maintained by the present owner for over twenty years, making it the ideal car for your Scottish Estate (should you be fortunate enough to own one) or simply for an enjoyable drive out with friends and family.
