History :  It was announced in 1981 by Rolls-Royce that the production of two door fixed head coupes in both Rolls-Royce and Bentley form would cease, with the decision taken to concentrate solely on convertible motor cars. The designation “Continental” had been used for some of Bentleys finest creations in the 1950’s and 1960’s and in 1984 the term was resurrected in the form of the Bentley Continental convertible. The stylish coachwork by Mulliner/Park Ward was designed by legendary stylist John Blatchley and was assembled and finished in London. We are pleased to able to re-offer this beautiful Continental convertible once again having supplied it to one of its previous owner in the mid 1990’s. It was re-commissioned in recent years by Frank Dale & Stepsons with a new dark blue mohair hood to compliment the ever popular colour scheme of dark blue coachwork with magnolia leather interior. It was also thoroughly mechanically prepared and tested in our workshops prior to being supplied by us most recently approximately two years ago. It has since been fastidiously maintained by one of our most particular customers who replaced the stereo with a correct original fitting. It has been used on various rallies including some long distance trips abroad and performed with distinction. It comes with all of its original books and tools including its fully stamped service book.
